Decided to make a Celtic knot in the centre.   Will need to wait for some warmer weather before I pour the concrete mix as I will need to wet grind the surface once it sets.  This will get really messy so better to do it outside. Our temperatures have dropped to 2ºC so will have to wait for spring to finish this project unless we get an unexpected warm spell:)









 Planning  a pattern for the center of the counter.  I am going to use the left over glass from my glass bottle wall.  I have four colours blue, green, clear and brown.  Will use the blue and green for a centre design then mix the remaining glass into the concrete mix instead of gravel.  when you grind down the concrete the glass shows through hopefully making a cool counter top.   After a lot of research have found a recipe that I will use.  Now to source the products for the mix.

Going to make a concrete and crushed glass  counter. Making the frame for the counter from some Melamine I got for $5 from the reuse store.

My new project.  To turn  this dresser into a kitchen island.
