for my earrings I used window screening cut into strips and stapled to the lid. Lots of room for more jewelry:)  Now I need to go shopping at the flea markets.

The tray I created for my necklaces is set at an angle and using quilting pins to keep the chains and pendants in place on the foam
.

The ring tray was purchased at Michael's and fit the drawer perfectly.

Brass pulls which are really cute with hearts must have come from an old dresser.

Polished up really well with a little Brasso

A couple of coats of Minwax natural stain and rub on Poly

Created foam inserts for the top and drawers and covered with black velvet

After a good scrubbing with murphys oil soap and steel wool

Lots of little drawers with brass pulls the cupboard is made of  bits of wood from other furniture.  the base looks like it was a dresser top the frames for the doors and sides and top are from  the same type of wood stamped with made in Gatineau Que. the drawers look like they are oak.

Top lifts up planing to put a tray in here for necklaces.

Machinist tool chest found at Aberfoyle Antique market paid $90 for it

Found this Hoosier Cabinet from the 40's or 50's. Paid $125. It had 4 layers of paint and the roll up was stuck.  Took a few layers of paint stripper to get to the wood.

Ready to stain

Stained and ready to go back together

Finished cupboard. Very happy with the results a lot of elbow grease later.
